24 Hour Child Care: provides respite care and drop in play spaces for children birth to 6 years old, and 7-12 years old on a case-by-case basis while parents resolve self-defined crisis in their lives. Stay, Play, & Learn: Drop-in area for child and caregiver to play and build connections with others. Weekly play groups. Facilitator on site to consult for help with parenting and developmental screenings.
Provides assistance to people actively thinking about suicide or other self-harming behavior as well as those calling on their behalf. Also assists callers in need of an evaluation by a mental health professional for safety planning. Trained triage clinicians will assess and provide appropriate referrals and/or dispatch mobile teams or Designated Crisis Responders. Crisis services help those who are: - Actively thinking about suicide or other self-harming behavior, or has already acted on these thoughts - Having thoughts of harming others - In danger because of a mental health or substance use condition and is in need of an evaluation by a mental health professional for safety planning, which may include an assessment for outpatient or inpatient treatment - Unwilling to agree to voluntary help and is in need of involuntary inpatient psychiatric or substance use disorder treatment
Connects city of Spokane residents, businesses, & visitors to city services, either through a live agent-assisted phone call or the self-service web or mobile portal. Allows anyone to report a problem, request services, or obtain information regarding city programs and events. Provides customer service for Parks and Recreation, Utility Billing, Solid Waste Collection, Code and Parking Enforcement, and the Streets department and answers general questions about the city.
A Matter of Balance is an award-winning class designed for those who have fallen or who have a fear of falling. Taking this class will not only help participants view falls as controllable and make lifestyle changes to reduce falls, but it will also increase their strength and balance. Participants will become more empowered when it comes to preventing falls and their consequences.
Connects children to ABCD-certified dentists by providing case management and technical assistance. Children with Apple Health (Medicaid) are eligible to receive the following through ABCD: - Fluoride varnish applications - Dental examinations - Parent education sessions - Restorative care as needed Emphasizes early intervention, prevention, education, and comprehensive care.
Serves inpatient residents, providing 24-hour intensive treatment. Establishes treatment plans tailored to the child in an effort to achieve the least restrictive treatment level as quickly as possible. Provides medication assessments and monitoring of changes in medication. Residents are helped to address tough issues, such as depression, separation, identify, grief and abandonment. Not designed for those with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
Provides trauma informed, person-centered treatment services for adult substance use and mental health disorders. Services support individual recovery goals, resolution of legal issues, improved life skills, relapse prevention skills, and the development of healthy support systems. Both ASAM Level 1 (outpatient) and Level 2 (intensive outpatient) treatment is available including individual, group, and family counseling.
Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) works with individuals who are Blind, Deaf-Blind, or Low Vision so they can flourish in their homes, communities, and workplaces. DSB provides skills, training, and support to people of all ages to help them achieve educational, employment, or independent living goals. Provides emergency communication services that are available 24 hours daily serving as a link between family members in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, and Whitman Counties and their family members in the military. Offers financial assistance on some cases; call for details and eligibilities.
